The Department of Small Savings plays a greater role in including the habit of thrift among the public by undertaking the public by undertaking the publicity through print.
The sole objective of the department is to bring awareness and to create a Savings movement in the State and to achieve the annual targets fixed by the Government.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh made consistent efforts in popularising the Small Savings Schemes. A separate department was established in the year 1991 which is headed by the Commissioner of Small Schemes, Hyderabad.
