Kamakhya Temple is one of the most venerated Shakti shrines in India.
Kamakhya Temple is located on the hill named Neelachala Parvat or Kamagiri near Guwahati.
The temple is dedicated to Mother Goddess in various forms as the Dasa Mahavidya, including Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tripura Sundari and Tara.
The annual festival of the temple is Ambuvaci. this fetival attracts a lot of pilgrims to the temple.
