Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department is one of the most important regulatory departments of the Bihar Government.
Department prescribes rules and procedure to be adopted in personnel matters specially issues concerning recruitment, training, career development, staff welfare as well as the post retirement dispensation, whereas on the other it acts as the cadre controlling department of Indian Administrative Service, Bihar Administrative Service, Bihar judicial services, Bihar secretariat services, Bihar secretariat stenographer services and Bihar secretariat clerk services.
