The National Gandhi Museum is located close to the Samadhi, the Memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated on 31.1.1948.
Galleries and Displays, Gandhi Literature Centre, Special Exhibitions, Library, Photo Section, Audio Visual Section are some of the sections in the museum.
The Museum was being managed under the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi. The imposing wo storey Museum was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India, on January 30, 1961.
