The Commissionerate of Customs & Central Excise, Bhopal came into existence after carving out of erstwhile Indore & Raipur Commissionerates.
The geographical jurisdiction of the Commissionerate is spread over 26 districts of Madhya Pradesh with 6 Central Excise divisions of which two are at Bhopal and one each at Sagar, Jabalpur, Chhindwara and Satna.
