Laxmibai National University of Physical Education is the only Deemed to be a University in the field of Physical Education in the country.
The institute has established seven department to run various academic programmes which includes Department of Teacher Education, Department of Research, Development and Advance Studies, Department of Coaching, Fitness and Dance, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Health Sciences and Yoga Therapy, Department of Sports Management and Journalism and Department of Computer Science and Applied Statistics.
