From a humble beginning of meagre 180 intake capacity in three branches, the Institute has come a long way in imparting professional education in the field of Engineering & Technology.
The journey has not been smooth but, the Institute has steadily progressed and today it stands on its sprawling campus with 420 intakecapacity in five disciplines & the total student strength is 1806.
The college has got the approval of All India Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India. Earlier affiliated to the renowned Utkal University, Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, now it is affiliated to the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Orissa - especially formed to focus solely on Technical Education & to improve quality.
