The French Institute of Pondicherry (IFP) is a joint venture of French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
The IFP has a multidisciplinary Centre for Documentary Resources (CDR), which came into being as the result of a major restructuring of three research libraries in Pondicherry.
