This college was established in 2001 under the aegis of the Union Territory of Pondicherry Colleges of Education Society.
This College started functioning in the academic year 2001-2002 for offering the one year B.Ed. degree course with an intake of 60 students on the recognition of NCTE and affiliation from Pondicherry University.
The College is now functioning in its own building with the required infrastructure facilities such as class rooms, halls, Auditorium, library, laboratories, furniture, apparatuses and equipments, play field, teaching and other supporting staff as per the norms of the NCTE. The college is offering seven optional subjects – Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies, Tamil, English with an intake of 15 students in each subject and Commerce with an intake of 10 students.
