Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is an integrated steel plant located in the city of Rourkela in Odisha, India. The plant is a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the largest steel-making companies in the world.
RSP was established in 1955, and it has since grown to become one of the largest steel plants in India. The plant operates modern facilities for iron making, steel making, rolling, and finishing, and produces a wide range of products, including hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils, wire rods, pig iron, and billets.
RSP has a capacity of producing 4.5 million tons of steel per annum and employs over 17,000 people. The plant has implemented several initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, including the use of waste heat recovery systems, the adoption of energy-efficient technologies, and the implementation of various pollution control measures.
RSP is also committed to promoting community development in the areas where it operates. The company has implemented various programs for the education and healthcare of its employees and their families, and it also supports several community development projects, including schools, hospitals, and community centers.

Rourkela Steel Plant is located in the north-western tip of Orissa and has capacity to produce 2 million tonnes of hot metal, 1.9 million tonnes of crude steel and 1.67 million tonnes of saleable steel.
