Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries came into existence in the 1968 as a wing of the Finance Department with a view to curbing illegal activities like satta, matka etc and to organize lotteries, at regular intervals, so as to mobilize resources for the State Exchequer.
In Punjab State Lottery there are many types of lotteries like Weekly Lottery, Monthly Lottery and Bumper Lottery (Baisakhi Bumper , Basant Panchami Bumper,Rakhi Bumper, Maa Lakshmi Diwali Bumper).
Punjab State Lotteries has appointed four Sole Selling Agents (SSA) for the Sale of weekly lotteries in Punjab named Suggal and Damani, NV Marketing Pvt Ltd, Martin Lottery Agencies and Tashi Delek Gaming Solutions.
It also has sections like Winners and Archives, Results, Notifications and English and Punjabi versions.
