The College was initially affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad, when the Visveswaraiah Technological University came into existence with effect from 1st of April 1998, the institution got affiliated to the new University.
Anjuman Engineering College is recognised by All India Institute for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the institution is the only one of its kind in Uttara Kannada district.
There are 890 students with 57 teaching and 56 non-teaching staff. The college has a hostel providing residence and mess to 1,000 students coming from all parts of India.
It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. The College is also declared by the Government as one of the Muslim Minority Engineering Colleges in Karnataka State.
