Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Technology was established in 1980 by late Sri M.H. Jayaprakash Narayan.
It is premier Institute built on the Ideals of Bharatha Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. It is a grant-in-aid institution of Government of Karnataka.
As a grant-in-aid institution of Government of Karnataka, 95% of the seats are filled up purely by merit by Common Entrance Test Cell (CET). Thus the academic environment is very good in the campus.
